plan for final piece
For my final piece I’m planning on carrying on my work from my pervious sets, this means I will carry on using blur on portraits to show how differently people act when they know others cannot see who they are then sharpen up some photos to show how suddenly someone can change their behavior when they’re viewed by society or their peers. This is still inspired by Travis Commeau and how he uses blur to show his short-sightedness makes him see others at times. Adding on to this, I’m also to carry on using Bill Armstrong’s work to inspire mine; from his I’ve taken how he uses the way someone stands to show his or her emotion. I can use this by blurring a photo as much as I can to the point where the only thing recognizable is the way their face or the way they stand shows off their emotion. When I take photos for my final piece I’m planning to take around 100-200 photos and from them I will take out 5-8. When I take photos both at home and in school I’m going to focus on the contrast and the lighting in the photo also I’m going to make sure the photo isn’t under-exposure or over-exposure. I might use color to show someone’s mood like Armstrong does. At school I’m going to use studio lights and a soft box to make my subject be completely lit up or just use a studio light on one side and have a gradual contrast from light to dark. In post-processing I’m going to make little changes in the vibrancy or the shadowing of the photo and see the effects.
These are photos I've found online and I'm going to use to help influence my final piece photos.
