Portrait introduction
The reason I pick these photos from the internet is because they're all unique in their own way and I want to do self portraits and portraits of other people in this way. As well as this I'm going to take ideas from photographers like Steve McCurry who is most known for his 1985 photograph known as “Afghan Girl.” He took this photo like many of his others travelling the world. I'm also going to take ideas from David Lazar who goes around the world capturing things like culture and beauty. I will also look at different photographers later on in this project.

INITIAL PROPOSAL
In my portrait project I want to develop a set of portraits of my friends and family to help me develop ideas around using mirrors to cause an illusion in the photo, photoshop to mess around with the hue/saturation and anything else to improve my photos in any way. As well as other ideas like taking photos of objects to show who they are also to show the importance of having hobbies or interests to define yourself or show how your friends and family define you for example a pair of boots and a football might tell the viewer you're a football player or you like football. Adding on to this I'm going to really focus on taking photos with facial expressions, light, mood and anything else that comes to mind while doing it.
I'm going to take inspiration from Lee Jefferies photography and add things like under-exposure and contrast to make my photos different and original. Adding on to this, I'm going to take some ideas from Steve McCurry like focusing on a body part like the eyes and how he always has lots of earthy colour in his photos.
I'm going to experiment with different types of portrait photography. Some of these are going to be things like joiners, portraits without faces; self-portaiture. The reason I'm going to experiment with types of photography is because not a lot of people do them and they're different this will improve my photography skill and will also improve my grade.
In some of my portraits I'm going to use walls covered in graffiti to show someones personality or show what society thinks about them. The wall would be in the background of the photo and be blurred out a little bit so it would male people focus on the main thing which is going to be the person. This is effective because it makes it different when compared to other peoples work.
