William eggleston
William Eggleston was born July 27, 1939 Memphis, Tennessee. He is an American Photographer who is credited greatly for his recognition of colour photography as a legitimate artistic medium. He would take photos of ordinary objects and places like signs, lampposts vending machines; his most notable work is called 'the red ceiling’. I'm going to take his ideas of taking photos of everyday objects and make changes to those images using the following tools in post-processing - contrast, hue/saturation and HDR toning and other things like that. My intention is to create a set of images of everyday objects that are made a set by the use of post-processing tools. The set will be focussed on everyday objects which are made extraordinary in colour and contrast. I am also going to experiment with softening images using Vaseline over the lens filter – this aspect of my work has been inspired by the work of some of my peers and I thought I could use the idea myself as I’m doing ‘changed’.
