PORTRAIT set 1
I have taken this set of photos to show the different ways I can use light to change the mood of my photos. This set was partly unsuccessful because some of the photos are blurred and in some you can also see the studio lights. Others however are successful because the lighting has changed the mood of the photo for instance ,the last photo I used Fluorescent lighting and Studio lighting to make a dark gloomy place look bright and full of life. In my next set of photos I'm going to focus on using beams of light and different colours of lighting to see how it affects my photos and adding more vibrant colours.
This is my favourite photo because even though it's blurred I can use it as a starting point for using facial expressions and lighting to show the mood of someone or something. This was successful because at the time the person I took the photo of was really upset and shy this was shown by him trying to distort his face and all the cold colours in the photo at the time. The main colours in this photo are blue and black these are both cold colours this means they're really dull and are often associated with sad emotions.
This is my least favourite photo because the idea was to use a pitch black cupboard and a tiny bit of lighting to create an almost noir like photo. This was very unsuccessful because lots of the photo is taken up by negative space.
PHOTOSHOPPED PHOTOS
These two images show how I have post processed Portraits in Photoshop. I didn't have an achivement at first but when I started I wanted to make the two photos as differernt as possible. I did this by changing the Hue/saturation, Brightness/contrast and Exposure. For the other one I completly changed the colour scheme so only pink/red, white and black could be seen. This meant I was able to shade the eyes Black and make it look realistic. This was successful because I achived what I wanted to and it also looks really good. I'm going to try to do this with other sets to see if they have the same affect. As well I'm going to try it with other colours to see if that changes the mood of it .
